What's sad is that they've seemed to have strayed too far from the gritty and strangely eerie sound that Slave Design captured so well, and that only a few songs on the album are, what I consider, great (AEON, Doomsday Party, I Am Ultraviolence, and Lucifer Effect); the rest are less than tolerable. Hopefully they'll come to realize this sooner than later. Still love them, though. I'd have to agree with most of the review. He tends to sound nasally at times and some notes are indeed off key. I like the song arrangements and the hints of industrial here and there, but I could take or leave the Orgy characteristics. It was metal with industrial qualities overlaying it all. I dug it and was eager to see what their latest release was all about. From the sound of your review, it seems like they tried to experiment and departed from the good aspects they had going for them. What a shame.
