Terakai are a five piece Metalcore act from Reading, UK. Formed in 2009, Terakai recently released their long awaited debut EP ‘THE LAST STAND’ (mixed and mastered by John Mitchell at Outhouse Studios) and have since exploded on to the scene. In a few short months this band have managed to build an extremely impressive fan base.
Despite suffering the devastating blow of the death of their guitarist Matt Dodd in early March 2010, Terakai were determined to carry on. Matt tragically passed away in his sleep at the age of just 18 and exactly one week before they were due to play the first gig of their tour. Terakai made the heartbreaking decision to carry on as a band with Tom taking over on lead guitar and Tom Hollings from The Arusha Accord standing in on rhythm. The band have now recruited a permanent guitarist in the form of Cameran Turner and are on a mission make Matt proud.
Terakai have already shared a stage with the likes of Sylosis, The Arusha Accord and A Textbook Tragedy and are all set to take 2010 by storm playing with Sepultura in July and filling the rest of the year with live shows and festivals appearances. They are also armed with a blistering new track, ‘These Endless Days’, set for release next month.

It's a tragedy their original guitarist died… I'm glad they kept going though. Because this is pretty awesome.
