“We really wanted to produce an album that really captured what we do live”, Better Left Unsaid’s drummer Brent Terry explains. “This album shows off our passion, our aggression, and the dedication that we have for our music.” Set for the first release on newly founded Static Age Records, Only The Dead to Witness is Better Left Unsaid’s crowning jewel of their career to this point. “We worked so hard while we were with Stillborn Records but never reached where we felt we could go. We feel that this album envelopes everything we’ve wanted to show people that we’re capable of.”

The band entered the studio with Zack Ohren at Castle Ultimate Studios (All Shall Perish, Suffocation, As Blood Runs Black, etc.) earlier this year to record the album. “Zack helped us really hone in on our goals for this record.” Terry explained. “We didn’t settle when it came to creating this record, each of us sacrificed so much to produce this and couldn’t be happier with how it came out.” Packed full of pummeling drums, grooving guitars that pave the way for soaring solos, and in your face vocals, Only The Dead to Witness is a monumental starting point for the band to launch phase two of their career. “We want to evoke emotion with each rhythmic change and melodic phase; we want to raise their blood pressure with each note played.”

Lyrically, the album is just as contorted as their music. “The concept of the album is one that’s been told time and time again in movies, television, music, etc. The struggle to survive in a world gone mad, to the last man standing.” Terry continues. “With that comes the real morality of man; the destruction of all that is good, the destruction of life as we know it, and with darkness comes the light. ‘The hills run red with the suffering of humanity. Look what you’ve done, bludgeoning the sanctity.”

In their time as a band, they’ve shared the road with many comrades, including Walls of Jericho, Hatebreed, Killswitch Engage, God Forbid, 36 Crazyfists, and more. In the coming months after the release of their record, the band looks to get out on the road to share their sound with as many people as will listen. “We’re so excited to get out again to reach some of our favorite cities and to make new fans in cities we may have not played yet.” Terry explains.
