Why do you post reviews way before albums are released?
We believe in hyping releases. Plus, who really wants to read reviews after the album has been released? By that point, you’ve most likely already decided if you want to buy the album or not.
I’m in a band. How can we get our album reviewed?
Simply fill out our Request Review form, and we’ll do our best to get the album reviewed. Please note: we do not review EPs, but you’re welcome to submit them to be streamed in All Access.
I’m interested in writing reviews for the site. Are you looking for more writers?
Possibly. E-mail a writing sample to lee@thenewreview.net, and we’ll get back to you.
Can you send me an album you reviewed?
Nope, but we can tell you where you can buy it.
I’m a publicist/manager/owner of a record label and would like to send you an album/albums for review and/or press releases. Where can I send them?
Please send all press releases to press@thenewreview.net and any albums for review to lee@thenewreview.net. If you’d like our postal address, please email us (though we prefer digital albums because they are easier for everyone).
How could you gave Album “A” a lower rating than Album “B”? You’re clearly wrong.
We get this all the time. Nine times out of ten, you’ll notice that the reviews in question were written by two totally different writers. Different writers mean different tastes in music and different opinions. It’s simply comparing apples to oranges.
I love the design of the site. Can I have the template to use on my site?
Thanks, but no. The site was custom designed for us by Redhead Design. If you’d like to hire her to design your site, e-mail her at jen@redheaddesign.net.
